Current Events

The most current events that are happening this week are: Read-a-thon, Dinner & a movie, presenting Heritage projects, and Holiday party. The Read-a-thon was on Monday. We got to sit down wherever and read our favorite books. Our dinner & movie is happening on Thursday. We are going to Come up for lunch and eat pizza and watch a movie ( Home Alone ). We started presenting our heritage projects on Monday. They have been looking great! :) Finaly, our Holiday party is on Friday. You can leave a comment for ideas for the party. Thanks in advance: The editors of Classroom News.

Heritage Projects

For our Open Court unit (Heritage) we have been doing heritage projects. So far, the Heritage projects have been: family trees, cookbooks, brochures, interviews, and poems. Nina and Sydney made cookbooks and brought some of the food from their books. Sydney brought Wacky Cake and Nina brought Flan. They were both delectable. All of the projects were great so far. I can't wait to see the rest of the projects!! We will be posting more pictures as we present them.

Holiday Party

Our Christmas party is going to be a blast because we have new presidents which are Sydney and Nathan. They would be very happy if most of the kids brought in food, eating things, and music. The party is this Friday. We also might bring in Wii so if you think you have a great game for Wii talk to Sydney & Nathan.

New Class Presidents

The most recent thing that has happened in 5Jcity is that the former presidents (Grace & Jack ) have made room for new presidents. The class has voted for the new presidents and the results are Sydney & Nathan. Sydney and Nathan have worked hard on their campaign and were thrilled with the results, Although they only have one week to plan the Holiday party this Friday. They have been talking about it over the lunch period along with Chris and Chuck. They have used the Internet to find interesting food and game suggestions. They are very excited to plan their first party.

What is a blog?

The word blog is short for weblog. Written for online audiences, a blog is a journal that is frequently updated and stored on the Internet. The content of a blog can vary considerably, from a running log of events to reflections and personal insights.
The purpose of this blog is to allow students to create and explore this internet tool and provide parents and other classmates with classroom information and events. This blog is closely monitored by Ms. Johnson. Please contact me with any questions you may have. Enjoy!
